About the Opportunity:
Join our dynamic team as a full-time Endoscopy RN dedicated to providing comprehensive care within a fast-paced procedural environment at a hospital-based Endoscopy/GI procedural unit in Mineola, NY. As an experienced RN with a strong background in ICU/critical care, you are responsible for airway management, post-anesthesia recovery, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response. You provide care across Pre-Procedure, Intra-Procedure, and PACU/Recovery areas, serving both adult and pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and advanced endoscopic procedures. This contract position supports PACU/Recovery coverage.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.95 to $57.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans for various endoscopic procedures.
- Provide airway management and recovery from conscious sedation.
- Collaborate with CRNAs, hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress in coordination with recovery procedures.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in ICU and critical care.
Job Requirements:
- Active New York State RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum one year of experience in ICU or critical care settings.
- PACU/Recovery experience.
- Preferred experience with Epic charting systems and pediatric patient care.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, airway management, dysrhythmia management, and emergency-response.
