About the Opportunity:
This RN position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) involves delivering comprehensive care at the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCCC). The role includes diagnosis, medical/surgical treatment, and long-term follow-up care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with various acquired and congenital cardiac conditions. The nursing staff possesses specialized training to manage patients with complex or rare congenital cardiac disorders, in the only pediatric cardiac care center in Western NY. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.15 to $60.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for pediatric cardiac patients.
- Provide specialized care and therapy for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in pediatric cardiac care.
Job Requirements:
- RN License (NY License ONLY).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Pediatric Cardiac Care.
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association ONLY.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIHSS).
- Experience with telemetry preferred.
