About the Opportunity
An adult day habilitation and residential facility is seeking a bilingual Speech Language Pathologist to join their team. Collaborating with OTs, PTs and other staff, the SLP will evaluate and treat the developmentally disabled population of this leading non-profit organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient’s medical history
- Formulate patient’s goals and develop a treatment plan
- Assist patients in retaining their highest functional level
- Maintain quality standards of patient care
- Keep detailed progress notes while continually assessing patient progress
- Collaborate and coordinate patients care plans with patient/family and other care providers
- Perform therapeutic procedures for clients as outlined in patient’s plan of care
Job Requirements
- Bilingual, English and Spanish
- NYS SLP License (no clinical fellows)
- Previous experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Experience within Article 16 Clinics and/or Group/Residential Homes preferred, but not required
