Director of Board Operations

About the Opportunity

Our client is a Not-for-Profit in Queens that is looking for a Director of Board Operations to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is an inspiring, service-oriented leader with a strong drive for organizational efficiency and excellence. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced professional to provide exceptional support to our board of directors, volunteer committees, and executive team while contributing to a vibrant, impact-driven community. The firm has been steadily growing for several years, and boasts comprehensive benefits and a hybrid schedule.

The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and board members to develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan
  • Act as a liaison between the Executive Director and staff, board members, and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among departments to foster a cohesive organizational culture
  • Monitor progress on strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Provides assistance with preparing departmental budgets as requested

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s required
  • 5+ years of Admin experience
  • Must have experience overseeing direct reports
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Hybrid position: located in Long Island City, Queens
