About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional with deep Medicaid and managed care billing knowledge to lead their billing and collection’s function in Hartsdale, NY. This consultant role is perfect for someone who’s hands-on, proactive, and ready to improve A/R processes in a collaborative, service-focused environment.
The base pay for this position is $32 to $35 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day billing operations including Medicaid, managed care, and commercial claims
- Ensure timely and accurate claim submissions, verifications, and collections
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies; recommend process improvements
- Manage rate changes and billing setup for all programs
- Partner with program, finance, and external contacts to reduce aging A/R
- Prepare reports, track KPIs, and support audits and month-end close
- Train and support junior billing staff
Job Requirements
- High school diploma with 5+ years of A/R and billing experience OR Associate’s degree with 3+ years
- Proven success in Medicaid and managed care billing—nonprofit healthcare a plus
- Strong skills in Excel and billing platforms
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and confident leading process improvements
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
