About the Opportunity
Our client is a prestigious law firm in Manhattan and they are looking to hire an experienced and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This role requires strong case management skills, familiarity with complex commercial litigation, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with attorneys at all levels in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role will be in the office 5 days a week.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in managing corporate governance litigation (shareholder, board disputes, etc.)
- Prepare, format, and verify legal documents with blue booking standards (pleadings, motions, discovery responses)
- Handle e-filing in state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
- Organize and maintain case files, including evidence and discovery materials
- Assist in trial preparation, including creating exhibits and deposition summaries
Job Requirements
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in corporate governance litigation
- Proficient in blue booking (drafting, editing, formatting legal documents)
- Strong understanding of corporate governance laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills
