About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to take on a senior leadership role within a large, mission-driven behavioral health organization. This newly-created position is designed to enhance psychiatric services for youth and adolescents across multiple programs, with a focus on innovation, clinical excellence, and integrated care. The base pay for this position is $140 to $145 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to psychiatric providers, therapists, and program leaders working with youth and broader populations
- Supervise psychiatry residents and advanced practice providers, including documentation and prescription review
- Lead treatment planning and case consultations for high-risk youth populations, including those involved in legal systems, foster care, or experiencing complex trauma
- Participate in agency-wide clinical supervision sessions and high-risk case review committees
- Conduct chart reviews to support quality improvement and clinical best practices
- Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols, policies, and youth-focused care models
- Support administrative initiatives such as program pilots, quality improvement projects, and service expansion
- Provide temporary clinical coverage and medication management support as needed
- Deliver psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for children and adolescents
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care
- Utilize telepsychiatry platforms as appropriate for service delivery and supervision
Job Requirements
- MD or DO with active New York State medical license
- Board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry required
- Extensive experience in youth psychiatry, particularly in community-based or outpatient settings
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor psychiatric trainees and early-career providers
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, substance use treatment, and multisystem youth challenges
- Passion for improving access to youth mental health services
- Experience in policy development, research, or quality improvement in child psychiatry
