About the Opportunity
Our client is a high-growth consumer goods company focused on expanding its retail and e-commerce presence. They are seeking a Director of Commerce Finance to lead financial planning and analysis across key channels. This role partners closely with commercial leaders to drive pricing, promotions, forecasting, and performance tracking. It’s a high-impact, strategic role reporting to the CFO.
The annual base salary range is $200,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and assess customer strategies—including pricing, promotions, and marketing spend—to drive profitable growth across channels
- Collaborate with commercial leadership to design innovative business models and long-term strategic plans
- Create and refine forecasts and growth plans by product line and customer segment, including short- and long-term targets
- Build and enhance reporting tools and key performance indicators to monitor channel performance and uncover opportunities for improvement
- Upgrade profitability tracking tools for customers and products, and guide commercial teams on how to apply financial insights to decision-making
- Deliver analytics to support rapid evaluation and rollout of new product initiatives with a focus on profitability
- Work cross-functionally with FP&A and Accounting to streamline month-end close and deliver actionable financial reports
- Lead, mentor, and support both direct and cross-functional team members to foster development and capability growth
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in FP&A and commercial finance within the consumer goods industry
- 3+ years of team leadership and people management experience
- Background in high-growth or startup environments preferred
- Proficient in financial modeling, planning, and translating data into actionable insights
- Strong business partner with the confidence to challenge and influence key stakeholders
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with NetSuite and BI/reporting tools a plus
- CPA or MBA is a bonus
