About the Opportunity:
This Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive speech and language services to patients within an acute care setting. As a full-time contract position, SLPs engage in patient care across inpatient hospital settings, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics. The role involves assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $51.43 to $60.78 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for patients with speech and language disorders.
- Provide therapy for swallowing disorders, including swallowing bed evaluations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and therapy outcomes.
- Stay informed on the latest research and practices in speech and language pathology.
Job Requirements:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Valid New York State License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Completion of clinical fellowship year.
- Experience with video fluoroscopic swallow studies preferred.
- Flexibility in managing patient loads across various settings.
