About the Opportunity:

The Medical Assistant position offers an opportunity to provide essential support services to patients in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include greeting patients, escorting them to clinical areas, performing necessary intake activities, and documenting information such as vital signs and allergies. The role involves preparing patients for visits, ensuring a smooth patient flow, and assisting with diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Additionally, the position entails maintaining equipment, stock items, and performing administrative tasks as needed. This is a full-time contract position.

The estimated base pay for these positions are $26.95 to $31.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct patient intake activities and document appropriate information.
Provide assistance in preparing patients for visits and maintain timely patient flow.
Collaborate with providers for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Monitor medication and supplies, ensuring expiration dates and inventory are up to date.
Stay informed on aseptic techniques and other clinical procedures.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program required.
One or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.
Medical Assistant certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA) preferred.
Spanish bilingual capability required.
EPIC charting system experience preferred.
