About the Opportunity
Our client is a Global Asset Manager based in New York City, and they are adding an Assistant Controller to their team. This client delivers compelling investment results for their clients over the long term. This role will be on a 3 day hybrid schedule and will be given a first-class retirement plan.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities
- Engaging in all things financial reporting, from estimating monthly performance to overseeing the preparation of investor reports and annual audits
- Manage cash forecasts, maintain expense records, and ensure compliance with fund credit agreements
- Analyze portfolio data, review fee calculations, and handle investor inquiries
- Go-to person for various requests from higher-ups and stakeholders
- Responsible for financial reporting process, including but not limited to monthly performance estimates, close packages/NAV, allocations, waterfalls and fund returns
- Review management fee calculations
- Various ad-hoc requests from senior management, portfolio managers, and investor relations
Requirements
- 3-10 years of experience within private equity or credit fund accounting
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- CPA is a plus
