About the Opportunity
Our client is a federally qualified health center in New York City that is dedicated to providing comprehensive, culturally responsive healthcare services to underserved communities. They are actively hiring a Billing Manager to be responsible for the management and evaluation of all billing and collection activities. The Billing Manager will also assist in tracking the expenses for the clinics, along with assisting in the development and implementation of strategies and procedures used to optimize revenue.
The annual base salary range is $60,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure daily billing and collections processes are compliant with regulatory requirements
- Manage the center’s overall health care billing program
- As needed, assist with the development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies and workflows that will enhance cash collections, expedite account resolution and streamline billing processes
- Respond to patient billing and statement inquiries
- Manage insurance company contract renewals
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of billing experience in a healthcare and/or community health setting
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
- Medical billing and coding certification preferred
- Strong Revenue Cycle operational knowledge
- Demonstrates complex problem solving and analytical skills
