About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global quantitative trading and electronic market-making firm, is seeking an experienced Contract Controller in New York City to support an active Sage Intacct implementation. Partnering with the finance team, IT, and implementation consultants, you’ll serve as the accounting subject matter expert. This is an approximately six-month contract available for immediate start, with potential to extend based on project needs.
The base pay for this position is $75 to $125 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee chart of accounts mapping, data migration validation, and reconciliation between legacy and new systems
- Keep month-end and quarter-end close running smoothly through the transition
- Review journal entries and reconciliations
- Resolve conversion discrepancies
- Design and document new workflows and controls
- Train accounting staff
- Prepare GAAP financial statements
- Support audit readiness alongside the CFO, Controller, and external auditors
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Controller or Accounting Manager experience in financial services such as banking, asset management, insurance, or fintech
- Hands-on Sage Intacct implementation experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree
- A CPA and familiarity with data migration or ETL tools are a plus
