About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established, multidisciplinary orthopedic and pain management group in Central New Jersey, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to split time between hospital rounds and a busy outpatient clinic, with the chance to first-assist in minimally invasive spine surgery.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Round on inpatients and complete consults at a partner community hospital, including postoperative, cancer, and acute or chronic pain patients
- Perform histories and physicals and write pre- and post-operative orders
- See outpatient clinic patients for image reviews, procedure follow-ups, and therapy evaluations
- Independently assess patients and order appropriate labs, imaging, consults, injections, and surgeries
- Prescribe medications per NJ law, including controlled substances with DEA authorization
- Assist in surgical cases as the opportunity arises
- Partner with attending physicians, fellow APPs, and the broader care team on individualized treatment plans
- Keep growing as a clinician in a group that stays current on modern, minimally invasive care
Job Requirements
- NJ NP license (AGNP-BC or FNP-BC) or NJ PA license
- Pain management, orthopedic, or OR experience preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
