About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Overnight Nurse Supervisor at our client’s long-term care facility in Brooklyn, NY. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations during overnight hours, ensuring safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for their residents. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with strong clinical judgment, a calm demeanor, and proven leadership ability in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and clinical support to nursing and direct care staff on the overnight shift
- Monitor resident health status and ensure timely interventions in urgent/emergent situations
- Conduct rounds to ensure quality of care, resident safety, and staff accountability
- Communicate effectively with on-call physicians, family members, and other departments as needed
- Ensure proper documentation, medication administration, and adherence to care plans
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
- Mentor, coach, and support overnight staff in providing person-centered care
- Participate in shift-to-shift report and coordinate handoff communication with day and evening staff
- Ensure compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in NY in good standing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, especially in overnight/low-resource settings
