About the Opportunity
A prestigious venture capital firm based in Manhattan is seeking a Management Company Accountant to join their growing team. This role will focus on supporting the firm’s management company operations, with responsibilities spanning accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions. The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the monthly financial close by preparing reconciliations, internal reports, and quarterly deliverables in alignment with U.S. GAAP for the management company and its subsidiaries
- Partner with various internal teams to enhance workflow efficiency and drive process improvements across finance functions
- Handle day-to-day finance operations, including invoice review, employee expense reimbursements, vendor payments, and reconciliation of accounts payable
- Contribute to treasury-related tasks such as cash monitoring and bank reconciliation activities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in corporate accounting or similar financial roles
- Strong communicator with the ability to work effectively across teams and build collaborative relationships
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines while producing accurate and reliable financial data
