About the Opportunity
Our client, a prominent multi-generational single-family office managing a diverse portfolio of 300+ entities, including partnerships, trusts, operating companies, real estate, and charitable foundations, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Midtown Manhattan team. Reporting to the Controller and Accounting Manager, you’ll serve as a primary accountant across multiple entities and a large affiliated foundation, managing day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and cash management.
The annual base salary range is $115,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Calculate capital calls and distributions
- Prepare wires with supporting documentation
- Analyze cash flow and liquidity
- Book K-1s into the accounting system
- Prepare tax workpapers for partnerships, trusts, and foundations
- Support charitable grant tracking, minimum distribution requirements, and Form 990-PF preparation
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in a family office, private wealth, or outsourced accounting role, or a combination of public accounting and family office experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong partnership, trust, and LLC accounting skills
- Experience with capital calls, wires, K-1 processing, and financial statement preparation is essential
- Archway experience and a CPA are a plus
