About the Opportunity
Our client, a renowned cancer center in New York City, is seeking a Senior Clinical Nurse with oncology expertise, ideally in radiation oncology. This leadership role is perfect for an experienced RN passionate about mentoring nurses, enhancing patient care, and driving evidence-based practices. As a clinical and operational leader, you will support oncology teams, collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and play a key role in improving cancer care outcomes.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to oncology nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth
- Utilize advanced oncology knowledge to oversee patient care, particularly in radiation oncology, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Support ongoing staff education and training in oncology nursing, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy care protocols
- Work closely with physicians, radiation oncologists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve patient safety, workflow efficiency, and overall care standards
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Active Licensure in New York
- Previous Oncology Nursing Experience (Radiation Oncology strongly preferred)
- Leadership or Supervisory Experience in a clinical setting
- Strong Clinical Decision-Making & Problem-Solving Skills
- Excellent Communication & Team Collaboration Abilities
