Vice President, Financial Regulatory Reporting

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading global banking institution, is seeking a Vice President of Financial Regulatory Reporting to join their New York City team. This critical position is responsible for preparing and reviewing regulatory reports across various frequencies and supporting the governance of the entire regulatory reporting process. The role offers high visibility, frequent cross-departmental collaboration, and the opportunity to leverage your expertise in complex regulatory and financial products.

The annual base salary range is $115,000 to $190,000, with total comp up to $250,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc regulatory reports—including but not limited to FR Y-15, FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009, FFIEC 019, FR2644, FR2900, and various Treasury and Commerce Department reports
  • Interpret regulatory instructions and ensure accurate reporting in line with US GAAP
  • Reconcile regulatory data with the general ledger, validate static data, and conduct detailed variance analysis to assure data integrity
  • Support governance by developing regulatory training, coordinating committees, managing interpretation forums, and serving as a key contact with auditors, QA, regulators, and change management teams
  • Monitor evolving regulatory and accounting standards, ensuring prompt incorporation of requirements into reporting activities
  • Maintain and update detailed procedure documentation for new and ongoing regulatory requirements to maintain organizational compliance
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and reporting tasks, keeping deliverables on schedule
  • Coordinate and partner with stakeholders across departments while supporting management and the broader team

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; advanced degree or professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) highly valued
  • 8–20 years of regulatory reporting experience covering FR Y-15, FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009, FFIEC 019, FR2644, FR2900, and related filings
  • In-depth working knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting, US GAAP, and financial products (loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, repo, money market, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and manage workpapers with robust EUC controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with reporting tools such as Axiom, and BI platforms such as Alteryx or Power BI, preferred
  • Experience handling multiple priorities across both report production and governance
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-team coordination skills
