About the Opportunity
Our client, a community-focused healthcare organization in Brooklyn, is seeking a Weekend Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join its clinical team and provide high-quality outpatient care. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive medical services including health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse patient population. This opportunity is ideal for a Family Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working in a collaborative clinical setting and is looking for a flexible weekend schedule while making a meaningful impact in the community.
The base pay for this position is $65 to $75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
- Evaluate patients by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories
- Prescribe medications and provide treatment based on clinical findings
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and other medical evaluations
- Develop individualized care plans and treatment strategies for patients
- Communicate important updates or unexpected clinical developments to the supervising physician
- Provide clear patient education on diagnoses, medications, and preventive care
Job Requirements
- Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with an active New York State license
- Strong communication and patient engagement skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment
