About the Opportunity:
Our client, a healthcare organization in Santa Monica, is seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to support infusion services. This role focuses on delivering specialized pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, ensuring safe and effective medication management within a clinical infusion setting. The ideal candidate brings strong oncology expertise, attention to detail, and experience working within interdisciplinary care teams.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $95 to $100 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and verify oncology medication orders, including chemotherapy and supportive care regimens
- Ensure accurate dosing, preparation, and administration of infusion therapies
- Monitor patients for medication efficacy, adverse reactions, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to optimize treatment plans
- Provide clinical guidance on oncology protocols and evidence-based therapies
- Utilize Epic EMR for order verification, documentation, and workflow management
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and best practices
- Support patient education related to oncology medications and treatment plans
Job Requirements:
- Active California Pharmacist license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical oncology infusion experience (required)
- Experience with Epic EMR system (required)
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy agents, protocols, and supportive care medications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
