About the Opportunity:
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you provide high-quality radiologic images for diagnostic purposes. You work full-time under a contract, completing 5x8hr shifts on weekdays, with on-call duties and potential weekend shifts per unit needs. You demonstrate excellence in selecting exposure factors and positioning, cooperating with team members to resolve issues and assisting radiologists during procedures.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $71.50 to $84.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Instruct patients and prepare them for examinations, assisting radiologists during procedures.
- Operate all equipment proficiently and report malfunctions.
- Complete assigned procedures efficiently, assisting as needed and managing room turnover.
- Maintain security of medications accessible only to authorized personnel.
- Provide healthcare services to all age groups competently.
- Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS for documentation.
- Participate in hospital performance improvement activities.
- Handle technical telephone inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
Job Requirements:
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
- Two years of experience in a similar setting.
- NYS License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- VIR Certification preferred.
