About the Opportunity:
This Medical Assistant position involves providing essential support to patients in an adult outpatient clinic setting. Responsibilities include conducting hearing and vision screenings, obtaining vital signs, recording history and medications, administering immunizations, and performing nebulizer treatments. This is a full-time contract position running from Monday to Friday, covering a 13-week assignment.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $26.95 to $31.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and vision testing.
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient history.
- Administer nebulizer treatments and immunizations.
- Label specimens and conduct throat, urine, and blood tests.
- Provide telephone triage and follow-up patient care.
- Perform suture removal and room patients.
- Coordinate pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Formal Medical Assistant training program completion required.
- Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA) preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Skills in adult outpatient clinic procedures, including immunizations and specimen labeling.
