About the Opportunity:
The Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions according to established policies and procedures to assist practitioners and management in daily office operations. Tasks include chaperoning in the exam room with the provider, prepping and assisting in the exam room, triaging patients, collecting urine and drawing blood samples, and taking and recording patients' height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $26.95 to $31.85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Chaperone in the exam room with the Provider.
- Prep and assist in the exam room.
- Triage Patients.
- Collect urine and draw blood samples.
- Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients.
Job Requirements:
- National Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA).
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of one-year medical assistant experience or internship in a physician practice.
- Bilingual in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, or Russian is a plus.
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment is preferred.
- Strong Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Charting System Experience with Epic is preferred.
