About the Opportunity:
Our client, an acute inpatient hospital in Queens, is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a full-time contract role covering evening shifts with a consistent weekend schedule. This position supports multiple inpatient service lines, including the Emergency Department and Psychiatric units. Comprehensive onboarding is provided, including Epic system training, to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
The estimated base pay for this position is $96 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify and dispense medications for acute inpatient units
- Support medication management for ED and psychiatric patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary clinical teams
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Utilize Epic for order verification and documentation following training
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Pharmacist experience required
- Active New York State Pharmacist license (NYSED) required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required
- Inpatient, hospital, ED, or psychiatric experience preferred
Job Schedule:
- Every weekend required
- Two consecutive weekdays off (Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday)
- Evening shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Job Training:
- Two-week onboarding period
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Includes Epic system training
