About the Opportunity:
This position as a Dental Assistant involves playing a key role in enhancing the efficiency and quality of dental care by performing advanced clinical duties under the supervision of dentists. Contribute directly to the patient experience through technical skills and compassionate care. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $27.50 to $32.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Place and finish dental restorations (fillings) after the dentist prepares the tooth.
- Take accurate impressions for temporary crowns, bridges, and diagnostic models.
- Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges.
- Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments.
- Apply sealants and desensitizing agents as directed.
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic treatments.
- Take and process radiographs.
- Maintain proper infection control and sterilization standards.
- Provide clear post-treatment instructions to patients.
- Chart treatment notes accurately and assist with updating patient records.
- Monitor inventory and prepare trays for procedures.
- Support front office team with patient flow and case coordination when needed.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR Certification.
- Completion of dental radiography course.
- EFDA certification.
- One to two years of dental assisting experience required.
- Strong knowledge of restorative procedures and materials.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- EFDA experience preferred.
