About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Cook, responsible for preparing and serving food in a healthcare setting. This full-time contract position requires availability for various shifts from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Bronxville, NY. As a Cook, you provide training to Food Service staff and ensure all prepared foods meet quality standards. You participate in educational programs to further your expertise. The estimated base pay for these positions are $23.10 to $27.30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide training and direction on cooking methods and food presentation.
- Assist in serving hot food attractively and maintain food quality.
- Utilize standardized recipes in food preparation.
- Communicate effectively with production and service personnel.
- Participate in educational programs as required.
- Ensure leftover food is labeled and stored correctly.
- Exhibit core values of respect, quality, integrity, and teamwork.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Completion of 2 years at an accredited cooking/catering school.
- Previous cooking experience in an institutional setting.
- Knowledge of cooking methods and related functions.
- Serv Safe certification.
