About the Opportunity:
This is a full-time contract position for a Registered Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with common diagnoses such as neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory issues including COPD, DKA, sepsis, and MI. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in managing patients, utilizing specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo. The patient demographic ranges from 18 years to adults.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $49.88 to $58.95 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating detailed care plans for patients.
- Providing specialized therapy and education to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately and timely.
- Staying informed on best practices and new research in intermediate care nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
- Active NY RN license and all other relevant RN licenses.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU settings and documented travel experience.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Skills Checklist matching specialty and NURSYS Report licenses verification.
