About the Opportunity:
Certified Surgical Techs provide essential support in the operating room by assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. The position involves performing technical duties related to scrub personnel, ensuring a sterile environment, and aiding surgeons during procedures. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $38.36 to $45.34 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare care plans.
- Provide intraoperative support by maintaining a sterile field and assisting surgeons.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout the surgical procedure.
- Ensure surgical equipment functions properly and safely.
- Stay informed on current surgical practices and technologies.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or eligible for a current New York State LPN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum experience in orthopedic surgery and DaVinci robotic systems.
- Prior travel experience.
- Experience in scrubbing is required.
- Knowledge in cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of surgical equipment.
- Ability to arrive within half an hour for call-ins.
