About the Opportunity:
This position as a Clinical Nurse on the Medical Surgical Unit involves providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients. Providing patient-centered care, managing patient care needs, collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and educating patients and caregivers are essential components of this full-time contract role.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $47.85 to $56.55 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and applying the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing and evaluating the care plan.
- Educate patients and caregivers about the plan of care, transition, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Practice safe, efficient patient-centered care while identifying and escalating barriers.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and evidence-based practice activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience.
- NYS RN License and BLS required.
- ACLS and Medical/Surgical/Tele experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
- EPIC experience is highly preferred.
