About the Opportunity:
The RN Oncology position at the Porter Ranch location provides specialized care to patients with various oncological conditions, including access to state-of-the-art treatment options. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, administration of chemotherapy, and patient education, ensuring a thorough understanding of treatment protocols. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $49.50 to $58.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide chemotherapy treatments and related educational support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Stay informed on the latest oncology research and best practices.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
- Proficiency with Epic charting system.
- Strong skills in communication and organization.
