About the Opportunity:
The Patient Services Representative provides a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This role includes tasks such as answering phones, handling patient inquiries, making appointments, and assisting with patient treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $13.75 to $16.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival and dismissal.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns according to policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
- Maintain and confirm appointments in the appointment book.
- Follow up on no shows or cancellations of appointments.
- Register patients on the sign-in sheet.
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
- Check voicemail messages daily.
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience answering telephones.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Preferred experience working in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office.
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) preferred.
