About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-regarded global financial firm headquartered in New York, and they are seeking a benefits specialist to join their growing team. This is a brand new position and will work closely with the global head of HR, and a lean team. The person in this role will ideally have experience with global/international benefits and can operate independently. For the right candidate, they are open to this person working 100% remotely (East Coast hours). Please note, they are not considering HR Generalists at this time – they are looking for a true Benefits expert.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities
- Performs benefits administration to include: employee enrollment/changes, short/long term disability claims, retirement distributions, reconciliation of invoices, & monitoring cost/trends
- Ensures that compensation, benefits, and wellness programs comply with all applicable US & Global federal and state regulations
- Conducts the benefits orientations for all newly hired legal and administrative staff including updates to the presentation materials to ensure accuracy
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in a benefits-focused role
- Global benefits experience is required (ideally including Europe)
- Bachelor’s degree required
