About the Opportunity
Our client is a middle-market direct lending fund that provides loans and other debt capital solutions to private and public companies. They are located in Stamford, Connecticut and looking for an Assistant Controller to review the administration and assist with all aspects of accounting. You would work with a great team, strong culture, and family-like atmosphere.
The annual base salary starts at $125,000 to $155,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and review quarterly and annual financial statements, waterfall analyses, management fees, and other allocations
- Oversee relationships with fund administrators and other service providers, including custodians, depositories, and auditors
- Coordinate with internal and external legal and tax counsel, auditors, custodians, and administrators to establish new funds
- Develop a cash management process to determine reserves and available cash for distributions, and collaborate with deal teams to plan, assess, and execute capital calls and distributions to investors
- Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process
- Compute investment and fund-level performance metrics, such as gross and net IRRs and multiples
- Engage in investor due diligence meetings for new products and review Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs)
- Manage and monitor fund expenses and vendor payments
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and run rates
Requirements
- 7-12 years of experience in private equity fund accounting
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA required
