About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading provider of behavioral health services dedicated to empowering individuals and families in Yonkers, New York. Their mission is to deliver high-quality mental health care and support services that promote recovery and well-being. They are currently seeking a Program Director with a strong background in managing OMH (Office of Mental Health) programs to join their team and lead with vision, expertise, and compassion. The Program Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of behavioral health programs, ensuring compliance with OMH regulations and delivering effective, client-centered care. This leadership role involves managing staff, budgets, and program outcomes while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the operations of OMH-regulated behavioral health programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of professionals, promoting collaboration and excellence in service delivery
- Develop and implement program goals, policies, and procedures to align with organizational and regulatory requirements
- Monitor program outcomes, analyze performance data, and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and efficient allocation of resources
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, families, community partners, and regulatory agencies
- Serve as a liaison between the program, leadership team, and external agencies, advocating for the needs of clients and staff
- Provide supervision and professional development opportunities for staff to support growth and retention
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services in accordance with OMH guidelines and organizational policies
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (LCSW preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating OMH-regulated programs
- Proven leadership experience in a behavioral health or human services setting
- Strong understanding of OMH regulations, policies, and best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
