About the Opportunity
Our client is an organization in New York City that is committed to providing inclusive, trauma-informed, and affirming care. They serve a diverse community and specialize in working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions such as HIV/AIDS. They are seeking a passionate and experienced LMHC or LCSW to join their multidisciplinary behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of clinical experience, with a strong understanding of co-occurring substance use disorders and a commitment to providing equitable, culturally competent care.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients managing a range of mental health concerns
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress
- Utilize trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches in treatment
- Collaborate with internal and external providers, including primary care, case management, and substance use services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in clinical team meetings, trainings, and supervision
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
- Current and valid licensure in New York as an LMHC or LCSW
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the behavioral health field
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- Ability to work with diverse populations in a culturally responsive manner
