About the Opportunity
Our client is a mission-driven housing organization in Brooklyn that is dedicated to providing safe, stable, and supportive housing for individuals and families facing homelessness, mental health challenges, and chronic conditions. Their programs are rooted in a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that supports long-term housing stability and wellness. They are seeking an experienced and compassionate Associate Clinical Director – Supportive Housing to help lead their dynamic team. This individual will provide clinical and programmatic leadership across our supportive housing programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to residents with complex needs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in housing services, team leadership, and behavioral health support systems.
The annual base salary range is $70,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and leadership to multidisciplinary teams across supportive housing sites
- Supervise program staff, including case managers and clinicians, to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with organizational policies
- Monitor resident progress and ensure services are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent
- Collaborate with external partners, service providers, and funders to coordinate care and maintain program integrity
- Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support crisis intervention and clinical case consultations
- Maintain accurate documentation and support data collection for reporting and evaluation
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supportive housing or related housing services
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a human services or clinical setting
- Knowledge of housing systems, behavioral health, and harm reduction practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
