About the Opportunity
Our client is a privately held investment management firm focused on the healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Established in the early 2000s, the firm has demonstrated consistent growth and long-term stability, driven by founder-led leadership and a self-sustaining capital model. They are seeking a remote Fund Senior Manager to join their expanding operations team, supporting fund accounting, trading oversight, and cross-functional collaboration across finance, investment, and operations.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and operational functions across multiple investment funds, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV calculations and position reconciliations
- Monitor trading activity and collaborate with prime brokers, administrators, and trading desks to resolve trade breaks and discrepancies
- Prepare and review cash movement reports, corporate actions, and portfolio-level transactions
- Partner with leadership on special projects related to fund strategy, new market opportunities, and process optimization
- Support senior management in producing performance reports, analytics, and other key deliverables
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- 5–9 years of experience in hedge fund or investment fund accounting, fund administration, or audit
- Background in either public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or fund-side accounting strongly desired
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
