About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering outstanding pediatric dental care. This role involves creating a positive experience for children and families in a modern, team-oriented environment focused on patient comfort, safety, and quality care. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $24.75 to $29.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for pediatric dental procedures.
- Educate children and parents in oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Take and process dental radiographs as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments.
- Assist dentists chairside during dental treatments and ensure patient comfort.
- Maintain dental supply inventory and ensure instruments are properly sterilized.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, OSHA compliance, and safety standards.
- Provide reassurance and comfort to pediatric patients before, during, and after treatment.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid X-ray license.
- CPR certification required.
- Coronal Polishing certification required.
- One year of hands-on experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with children and their families.
- Proficiency in routine clinical tasks such as taking x-rays, setting up/breaking down rooms, and passing instruments.
- Nitrous Oxide certification preferred.
