About the Opportunity:
This full-time contract position is available for a Physician Assistant specializing in Trauma Surgery. The role involves providing care in an inpatient and outpatient setting with a focus on trauma and acute care surgery. Key responsibilities include responding to traumas, possibly being the first responder if the trauma surgeon is unavailable, admitting patients to the service line, including ICU, assisting in surgery, and managing discharge clinics. The position requires flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, 3-4 times a week, and may include coverage during weekends. The role integrates with other healthcare professionals on a 251-bed facility.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $104.50 to $123.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for trauma patients.
- Provide surgical assistance and respond to emergency trauma situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate inpatient and outpatient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring continuity of care.
- Stay informed on the latest in trauma and acute care practices.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS.
- Proficient user of EPIC EMR system.
- Experience in trauma settings, including previous relevant clinical activities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
