About the Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team in San Francisco, CA. This role involves providing high-quality care and recovery support to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including those with higher acuity such as kidney transplants, craniotomies, and spine surgeries. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.80 to $62.40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans for post-operative patients.
- Provide monitoring and care in Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including respiratory services and physical therapy, to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using Epic charting systems.
- Stay informed on the latest practices in high acuity post-operative recovery.
Job Requirements:
- Active CA RN License and BSN required.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient settings, Level I Trauma Center, Phase I PACU, and Phase II Recovery required.
- Epic charting system experience required.
- ICU experience preferred, especially SICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU background.
- Preferred certifications include CCRN and NIHSS.
- Experience with high acuity PACU settings preferred.
