About the Opportunity:
The RN, PACU position offers the chance to provide specialized post-anesthesia care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment. This full-time contract role involves working 8-hour days with variable start times and the ability to float to other facilities as needed. The role requires professionals capable of managing airway, anesthesia recovery, and pain management, along with a capacity to work in pre-op and extended care units. The estimated base pay for these positions is $52.80 to $62.40 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting post-anesthesia assessments and creating care plans.
- Providing pain management and recovery oversight.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress in the PACU.
- Staying informed on anesthesia recovery practices and standards.
Job Requirements:
- CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in PACU.
- Knowledge of airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management.
- Ability to work in pre-op and extended care units.
- Epic charting system experience.
- Teaching hospital experience required.
- Preferred: CCRN or CPAN certification and 2 years of critical care experience.
