Dental – Dental Assistant

About the Opportunity:

As an Endodontic Dental Assistant, you play a critical role in root canal and related treatments by preparing treatment rooms, assisting the endodontist during procedures, supporting patient care, and handling related administrative responsibilities. This is a full-time contract position.

The estimated base pay for these positions are $18.15 to $21.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments while maintaining strict infection control.
Assist the endodontist during root canal and related procedures, including suction, irrigation, and passing instruments.
Take and process dental radiographs/CBCT scans, review patient histories, and document treatment notes accurately.
Educate and support patients before, during, and after procedures, including clear post-op instructions.
Coordinate with the front office on scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and referring dentists.
Manage supplies and equipment, including inventory ordering and upkeep of endodontic materials.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Job Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or one year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
CPR card.
X-ray certification.
Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or FL Board Approved).
Experience as an Endodontics Assistant.
Familiarity with dental software and charting systems is preferred.
