About the Opportunity:
Pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care by interpreting prescriptions, conducting medication therapy management (MTM) functions, and compounding medications. They dispense medications within regulatory guidelines and assure the proper and economic use of medications, providing information and advice to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Pharmacists manage and utilize the approved formulary effectively. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $34.58 to $40.87 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret prescriptions
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) functions and compounds
- Dispense medications within regulatory guidelines
- Assure proper and economic use of medications
- Provide medication information and advice to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
- Manage and utilize the approved formulary
- Basic knowledge of commonly used software such as Microsoft Outlook and Word
Job Requirements:
- Must have a State of Florida Pharmacy License
- Minimum 2 years of Pharmacist experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word
- Experience interpreting prescriptions
- Experience performing medication therapy management (MTM) functions, compounds, and dispensing medications within regulatory guidelines
- Experience managing and utilizing the approved formulary
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English
- Experience using Health Management System (HMS) is highly desired
- Experience using pharmacy software (QS1) is highly desired
