About the Opportunity:
We have a rewarding contract opportunity for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This full-time position requires working the evening shift from 7pm to 7am for a 13-week duration, with a 36-hour guarantee per week. The role involves assessing patient needs, providing high-quality care, and intervening in life-threatening situations. The estimated base pay for these positions are $50.40 to $59.56 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing advanced cardiac life support and other emergency care techniques.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and interventions.
- Staying informed on current emergency nursing practices and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Current NYS RN license.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Experience with MEDITECH system required.
- Must have prior travel experience.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Critical Care and charge experience preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
- Lethal dysrhythmia and defibrillation certification within six months.
- IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation.
