About the Opportunity:
This emergency department RN position involves providing acute care to patients in a high-stress environment. As a vital team member, the RN possesses the ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations, ensuring patient safety and delivering quality care. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $52.45 to $61.99 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide emergency medical care and interventions under pressure.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs.
- Stay informed on current practices in emergency nursing care.
- May assume duties as a charge nurse as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Current NYS RN license required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- PALS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Experience with MEDITECH required.
- Prior travel nursing experience required.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Critical care and charge experience preferred.
- Must have strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment.
- Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation.
