About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Dental Assistant, providing high-level patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This full-time contract position involves a variety of clinical duties within dental office operations. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are crucial.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $27.50 to $32.50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
- Serve as a key communicator within the practice, offering valuable information and support to patients and colleagues.
- Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area and assisting the dentist.
- Manage materials by selecting, mixing, and placing them on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
- Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies.
- Maintain patient appearance by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
- Assist in dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
- Educate patients about oral hygiene and postoperative care.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Protect patient information confidentiality.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- X-Ray Certification with six months of experience.
