About the Opportunity:
This position of Licensed Master Social Worker involves providing comprehensive social work services to patients in an inpatient medicine and surgery setting. This is a full-time contract position. You conduct assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address the diverse needs of patients requiring acute care.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $53.69 to $63.45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for patients in inpatient medicine and surgery.
- Provide therapy and social work education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and resources.
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
- Stay informed on best practices in acute social work care.
Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work.
- Valid Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) license issued by NYSED.
- Minimum one year of experience in acute care settings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
