About the Opportunity:
In a contract position as a Stock Person, you provide essential support for departmental teams by managing the logistical aspects of stock handling at our location in New York, NY. As a full-time contract position, you efficiently facilitate the movement and storage of merchandise, ensuring timely delivery to departments. Your role includes managing inventory, verifying deliveries, and maintaining safety standards while interacting courteously with others.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $20.90 to $24.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic inventory management and order picking.
- Provide courteous interaction with visitors and staff.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate delivery.
- Monitor and verify supply shipments against delivery tickets.
- Operate hydraulic lifts and other equipment for stock handling.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and manage physical tasks.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Effective communication and reading skills.
- Capability to wear safety toe boots.
