About the Opportunity:
This contract position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Psychiatric Emergency Room Unit, providing care to patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case histories, planning and providing nursing care, making nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients, and recommending treatment options. RNs consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans and administer medications. Additional duties comprise arranging further medical attention when necessary, assisting clients in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances, maintaining a safe environment, documenting patient information, performing administrative assignments, and providing high-quality service to patients and the public. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $42.90 to $50.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
- Valid NY License.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association Only).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric settings.
- Experience in telemetry.
