About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit to provide exceptional care to patients experiencing post-surgical conditions, such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity related to bariatric surgery. This is a full-time contract position requiring expertise in managing care for adults using specialty equipment like IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans for patients.
- Provide care and education related to post-surgical recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress consistently.
- Stay informed on best practices in Medical-Surgical nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Active NY RN license with verification and all other active RN licenses.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical settings.
- Travel experience in nursing required.
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
