About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leading healthcare facility on Long Island, is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The estimated base pay for this position is $70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
- Perform patient assessments and ensure readiness for scheduled procedures
- Administer medications, IV sedation, and contrast agents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery periods, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
- Assist with patient preparation, procedural workflow, and post-procedure care coordination
- Support high-quality patient outcomes through vigilant monitoring and clinical intervention when necessary
Job Requirements:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience required
- Experience with procedural sedation and recovery monitoring strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume procedural setting
